As the adoption of plug-in vehicles continues to accelerate, so does the race to reduce recharging time. Quick charge technologies are advancing – well – quickly and these companies are exploring the most efficient ways to transfer electricity, increase EV range by strategic placement, and manage this hefty load to the grid.
Bio
Zachary Kuznar works as a Senior Project Manager in the Emerging Technology Office at Duke Energy. In this role, he focuses on identifying, developing, testing and deploying technologies in the renewable generation, energy storage, and water reuse and reclamation space. He also focuses on the development of new business cases and opportunities and provides global project management on joint venture technology initiatives. Zak is President of the National Alliance of Advanced Technology Batteries and is on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the School of Chemical and Paper Engineering at Miami University. Zak holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Yale University.
